French figs on a rainy morning

These figs are keeping me going through the recent downpours. It's taken a few tries but now I've learned the ones that feel too soft encase that last savor of summer.

We were give a fig tree for L. birth and have been eating them as they ripen. Yes, they really have to be nearly splitting apart - I would post one if I could! Enjoy the early Autumn, S.
