It's lovely, as the weather turns cool, to learn something new, to harness that whoosh of back-to-school energy. I spent a weekend sponging a green solution onto watercolor paper, then watching it go blue in the sun.
That cyanotype course was one in a series offered by the Kunsthochschule Weissensee, in collaboration with that art nerd paradise, Boesner. The collaboration means the courses are shockingly affordable, only €30 for the weekend.
The courses are taught by graduates of the art school. Ours—Philine Sollmann and Julia Marquardt—were terrific. There are two more sessions planned for the fall: find them here.
